Adam comes from a modern somewhat futuristic world, that is changing around him. The thing that's changing around him are everyday people getting powers. The world itself is about to go upside down with worry over them. How powerful they can be and what they could do to other people. The fear is that everyone wants to keep them from doing bad things. However, sometimes they just can't stop it from happening. Even though there is a few basic rules around, people have habits of breaking them. Especially those with powers, the world calls them freaks. Abnormalities. They are afraid because they themselves don't understand what's happening. The world has to change with them and most of the people around the world don't like change.

The rules are simple, don't use your powers without getting permission to do so. The basic down the line is never use them. Studies show that it's genetics, a certain gene that creates them. While others show scientific studies to show that people are just evolving. With those scientific studies comes rumors of experiments being done to those people with powers without their given permission. Some of those rumors are leading to those people evolving into something more powerful. But who or what is the cause of it?

Overall, it's a modern slightly fantasy, horror, detective story.





Adam was a normal person in the beginning of his life, however, he started to show powers when he was in college. One day, he had been practicing in his dorm room, not knowing that his fiancée was coming to see him. Her name was Monica, she came into his room while he set papers on fire, by just shooting a small fireball at it. It frightened her and like everyone with powers, they must get put through a system so that others know. That day he lost trust in his friends, lost his career path and had to change his career path. Adam was studying people with powers, Paranormals, was the given term that people were slowly picking up on. He had knowledge that he could give to others. After College, Adam runs into a man named Nicholas Holloway, who finds out that Adam is pretty smart. Nicholas also finds out that Adam has knowledge with Paranormals and had done some studies. The man decides to take Adam to his place of work, the police precinct in their city. Adam meets with Chief James Cunningham, who gives him a few questions to answer. A test of wits, courage, as well as problem solving. Chief Cunningham finds out for himself that Adam is capable of making decisions that will help their investigation.

He gives Adam a job of being an advisor for now. To see how he does on the job first and makes him sign an agreement that he will not use any of his powers without the permission of his co-workers first. Adam also slips to Chief Cunningham that he can see past events, like a psychic, and insists that he has a partner willing to work with him. Chief Cunningham agrees to this, since he can't always keep a watchful eye on him. The Chief leads Adam out of the office and over towards Nicholas's desk and tells them from that point they will be partners. To act on the role but it still meant that Adam was not a detective just yet. Shortly after that, they get a call to investigate a crime in a housing development. The caller said that when they looked at the living room window it was completely covered in frost. Which meant that they were going to be dealing with someone with powers. Lucky for them, Adam was there to help them.
